# It's 2am.
Still scrolling?

You wanted to sleep an hour ago. Curfew blocks the apps and websites that keep pulling you back in. Choose your cutoff once. When it arrives, the scrolling stops.

Essentials stay available

Access returns**6:00am**

Example schedule. Choose your bedtime between 8pm and 2am. Repeats every night.

## Block the apps you can't put down

1. ### Choose what keeps you up.

Use Chosen Apps to select distracting apps, categories, and websites. Choose Everything for a broader block that keeps essential system apps available.

2. ### Decide when scrolling stops.

Choose a bedtime between 8pm and 2am. Curfew blocks your selected apps at that time every night and gives you access back at 6am.

3. ### Activate your schedule.

Grant Screen Time access and finish setup. The schedule then runs even when Curfew is closed.

## Tried Screen Time and kept scrolling?

Apple's Screen Time includes scheduled app restrictions. On iOS 26, this is called Downtime. You can schedule it for bedtime and use Block at Downtime with a Screen Time passcode. Apple explains the options in its [iOS 26 Screen Time guide](https://support.apple.com/guide/iphone/iphb0c7313c9/ios/26).

If you keep dismissing the reminder, you need the app to stop opening. Curfew uses Apple's Screen Time system to block your chosen apps. Setup puts the choices in one place: what keeps you up, and when it stops.

Once the block starts, you cannot push your bedtime later or remove blocked apps inside Curfew until morning. You make the decision before you are tired and halfway through another feed.

### What about Sleep Focus?

[Focus controls which notifications can interrupt you](https://support.apple.com/guide/iphone/allow-or-silence-notifications-for-a-focus-iph21d43af5b/ios). For scheduled limits on opening distracting apps, use Screen Time restrictions or an app blocker such as Curfew.

## Before you set your curfew

How do I stop scrolling at 2am when I want to sleep?

Set Curfew before the scrolling starts. Choose the apps and websites that keep you up, pick a bedtime, and activate your schedule. At that time, Curfew blocks them until 6am, so opening the app no longer puts you back in the feed.

Can I just move my bedtime later once Curfew starts?

Once blocking starts, you cannot move your bedtime later or remove apps from your block list inside Curfew until morning. The stopping time you chose stays in place when you want one more video.

Does Curfew work when the app is closed?

Yes. Once you activate your schedule, Apple's Screen Time system starts the block at bedtime and lifts it at 6am. You do not need to leave Curfew open overnight.

Can I block social media and keep other apps available?

Yes. Choose Chosen Apps and select the apps, categories, and websites you want to block. Everything mode applies a broader block while keeping essential system apps available. It does not turn off the phone or cover the entire display.

What time does blocking start and end?

Choose a bedtime between 8pm and 2am. Curfew repeats that schedule every night and restores access at 6am.

Where can I download Curfew?

Get Curfew from the App Store on your iPhone. The app walks you through choosing your bedtime, selecting distracting apps, and setting up your nightly schedule.

Does my Mac license include the iPhone app?

The iPhone and Mac apps are separate purchases. A Mac license does not currently unlock Curfew Unlimited on iPhone.

Which iPhones can run Curfew?

Curfew requires iOS 26.0 or later. It is made for iPhone. The App Store checks whether your device is compatible.
