# Privacy Policy

Last updated 20 August 2026

Curfew is published by **Sentium Inc.**, 1111B S Governors Ave #39446, Dover, Delaware 19904, USA.

This policy covers Curfew for iPhone, Curfew for Mac, and this website. Curfew has no ads. We do not collect your Screen Time data or the apps and websites you use, and we do not sell your data.

## What stays on your device

On iPhone, your Screen Time activity, blocking choices, schedule, and onboarding answers stay on your device. Curfew does not send that information to Sentium or its purchase provider. On Mac, your schedule, settings, and blocking activity stay on your Mac. Curfew for Mac does not use analytics or tracking. It does not record what you type or send key presses off your Mac.

## iPhone analytics and purchases

To understand where people leave onboarding and whether they start a trial or buy, Curfew sends **PostHog** an anonymous identifier, the onboarding screen reached, limited paywall actions, and privacy-safe purchase failure diagnostics such as the failed stage, a fixed failure category, technical error domain/code, and app version/build. **RevenueCat**, our purchase provider, receives that identifier, purchase and entitlement information, and limited technical information needed to provide and restore Curfew Unlimited, plus Apple Ads campaign attribution when applicable. RevenueCat may send purchase events to PostHog using the same identifier. Apple handles App Store payments.

Curfew does not send PostHog or RevenueCat your name, onboarding answers, bedtime, blocking choices, selected apps or websites, or Screen Time activity.

## Mac trials and licenses

- **Your email address**, when you start a free trial or buy a license, so we can send your license key and tell you when the trial ends.
- **A one-way device identifier**, when the app checks for an existing license, starts a trial, or activates a license, so we can restore licenses and apply the two-Mac and one-trial-per-Mac limits.

The device identifier is a salted one-way hash of a hardware identifier macOS provides. The underlying identifier and your Mac's serial number never leave your computer.

## This website

Standard server logs, including IP addresses, are created when you use this website, when the Mac app contacts the license service, or when it checks for an update. We do not currently use a visitor analytics beacon. We set no analytics or tracking cookies ourselves. When someone clicks a public Curfew download button, we keep only the UTC day, filename, and coarse campaign source such as `reddit`; the download counter does not store an IP address, email address, device identifier, or full referrer. Cloudflare may set a cookie to check that a visitor is not a bot, and Stripe sets cookies when taking a Mac payment and preventing fraud.

## Who processes it

**Apple** and **RevenueCat** handle iPhone purchases, and **PostHog** processes the limited iPhone analytics described above. **Stripe** handles Mac payments, **Resend** sends Mac license emails, and **Cloudflare** hosts this site and the Mac license service. Card details go directly to Apple or Stripe and never reach our servers. These providers may process data in the United States. We require them to protect data consistently with this policy and applicable law. We share data only as described here or when legally required.

## Why we process it

We use this data to provide Curfew, process purchases and licenses, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations. We rely on our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing Curfew, and applicable law.

## Your rights

You can revoke Curfew's Screen Time access in iPhone Settings or by uninstalling Curfew. Where applicable, you can ask to access, correct, restrict, object to, or delete personal data that we or providers acting for us process — email [contact@sentium.one](mailto:contact@sentium.one). We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above and our legal obligations. If we delete a Mac license record, its key can no longer be used to activate Curfew. Some payment records are controlled by Apple or must be kept for tax and accounting. If you are in the EU or UK, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

## Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above.
