Curfew does not watch what you do. It has no analytics and no telemetry. It does not record or transmit your screen, your keystrokes, or which apps you use. The app contacts our server only to check its licence and to look for updates. Your schedule, your settings, and the count of nights you were up past your curfew stay on your Mac.

What we receive

  • Your email address, when you buy a licence — so we can send you the licence key and handle support.
  • A device identifier and your computer's name, when the app activates or checks a licence — so we can apply the two-Mac limit.
  • Standard server logs, including IP addresses — when you visit this website, and when the app checks its licence or looks for an update (at most once a day, never during a block).

We process this to perform our contract with you and to keep the two-Mac limit workable. Our servers and providers are in the United States, so your data is processed there.

The device identifier is a salted one-way hash of a hardware identifier macOS provides. Only the hash is sent to us — the underlying hardware identifier and your Mac's serial number never leave your computer. We keep it for as long as you hold a licence, and delete it if the licence is refunded or you ask us to.

Who processes it

Stripe handles payment — your card details go to Stripe directly and never reach our servers. Resend sends licence emails. Cloudflare hosts this site, forwards mail, and runs the server that stores your licence record. We do not sell your data or share it with anyone else, unless legally required to.

This website

We set no cookies and use no analytics or tracking scripts. Cloudflare may set a cookie if it needs to check you are not a bot. The checkout page loads Stripe's payment form, which sets its own cookies to take a payment and prevent fraud.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct or delete it — email contact@sentium.one. Two limits: deleting your licence record ends the licence, and we have to keep basic purchase records for tax and accounting. If you are in the EU or UK you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

If this policy changes, we will update the date above.
